A dark day indeed. We seem to be spiraling down into a vortex of tyranny, oligarchy, and civil strife that is irreversible. Trump is easily the most evil thug on the world stage since Hitler! The beacon of the European enlightenment—the whole noble idea of democratic governance based on the rule of law, freedom of the press, separation of powers, and institutions that serve the public interest has now dimmed, and is being snuffed out by pitiless self-serving fascist oligarchs and their “king.” I wish I had never lived long enough to see this collapse of all that is good and noble about my country, but here we are, plunging into a morally bankrupt oligarchic tyranny. It will only get worse from here…UNLESS…
