A perceptive piece. Any information about carbon footprint is better than none at all, but unless we dramatically revitalize our local community connections and relocalize our economies so that both we and our "stuff" must travel fewer miles (and hence uses less carbon-based energy), it is all just arranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
