A recent statistic published by PBS showed the verified instances of voter fraud, by mail or any other form, to be .0035% of all votes cast. This is a statistically insignificant number.

Conversely, voter suppression tactics, such as reducing the number of polling booths in minority areas, manipulation of voting machines due to lack of paper trails, and unvetted "purges" of voter lists were all complicit in Bush's theft of the election in 2000 in Florida, and in 2004 in Ohio.
