A useful schema as far as it goes. As I see it, our current plight leaves us three options: suicide, carpe diem, or simply living in the present moment and doing what we know is right, regardless of success or failure…and regardless of how long we have to live. As Lao Tzu says, “Take care of everyone and abandon no one; take care of everything and abandon nothing.” This is a useful asymptotic goal to keep in mind as we ride the tiger of global collapse into chaos…
