Actually we DO agree that capitalism should be displaced by something better. The only question I asked is "How?" and the answer I proposed is that a top-down solution cannot possibly work, since everyone who has any outsized influence on our macroeconomic policy already has an enormous vested interest in the money system as it is--which is the same thing as "capitalism."

Ordinary people like you or me have no agency whatsoever in this regard. This is why I support a grassroots approach--weaning our immediate friends and neighbors from dependence on money by encouraging them to grow gardens, grow community, and grow awareness.
