And by the way, we are not talking about a "political adversary" here, but rather, an indicted criminal, for whom a huge array of compelling evidence points directly to massive felonies against our national security and utter contempt for the rule of law itself; serious crimes for which anyone else would have received several life sentences. If you read the indictment with any trace of intellectual honesty, you will not be able to refute this claim.
