Complexity, perhaps? Sweeping generalizations about “the Democratic Party” imply that all Democrats are the same. This is rubbish. Within this party, you have everything from blatantly corrupt coal barons like Joe Manchin all the way to highly intelligent, honest, decent and diligent legislators like AOC or Elizabeth Warren. Many (mostly unknown) people in all levels of government, both Republicans and Democrats, are basically decent people trying to make the best choices they can in what they perceive as the public interest. And when you slime a basically decent career politician with 50 years of experience and an array of impressive legislative achievements like Biden in preference for a lying, vindictive, pathologically narcissistic real estate tycoon and career-long grifter like Trump? Sorry, You just lost any credibility.
