Dear Nanie,
As an old guy (74) I grieve for young people like you whose future we have destroyed through our collective greed, denial, and short-sightedness. It is probably too late to avert global catastrophe. But individually, we still have options for both mitigating and adapting to our predicament. This involves, above all, relocalization of commerce, to reduce our per capita carbon footprint. Hence the slogan I have coined to pass on to your generation and others after I die: Grow Gardens, Grow Community, Grow Awareness, by learning, teaching, healing, and creating. Study, practice, and propagate Permaculture: Earfh Care, People Care, Fair Share.
