Dear Noora,
Your words are so full of bitterness and hatred for Israel and the west in general that I doubt if I can reach you through your rage. In light of the way Israel is abusing and dehumanizing Palestinians, I can understand your rage, but I can’t justify it. Because hatred only breeds more hatred, in an endless downward spiral. There are, after all, a large number of Israelis who are sickened by what Netanyahu and his cronies are doing in their names; you can find many such thoughtful and compassionate Israeli writers here on Medium. Israelis are not all evil monsters, any more than Palestinians are all fanatical terrorists who glory in murder and rape of civilians.
So please ask yourself this question: what solution(s) would make the most people less hateful and more tolerant of the other?
Let’s start here: we ALL want the same things, basically: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; respect, kindness, dignity, freedom, citizenship rights. What political arrangements, then, are most likely to achieve these goals for ALL current residents of the Levant??
