Enough of this balderdash! Those of us (like myself) who were born during the booming, expansive postwar era are neither any more virtuous nor any more craven and selfish than any other generation before or since. We were just very lucky to grow up in a time of rapidly expanding affluence for the middle class, coupled with peace and stability (at least close to home!). We had no idea (because the fossil fuel industry suppressed the information and instead spread comforting lies and disinformation) that our affluent way of life and the rapidly proliferating technological innovation were destroying the future. But those (like myself) who knew Better have been fighting tooth and nail against the lies of these greedy bastards ever since this information about environmental degradation became widely known. (Remember the Boomer-created Earth Day 1970?) So enough of this intergenerational spite!
