Entirely true assessment! The one quibble I have is that the source of our global terminal cancer is not “humanity” per se, since there were and still are indigenous human cultures and communities scattered here and there which never saw themselves as apart from nature— that don’t even have a concept of “nature” (excluding humanity) in their vocabulary! These cultures managed their surrounding ecosystems but did not exploit or displace them—and many of these indigenous human cultures have lasted for thousands of years! Rather, the source of our global cancer is money! A zero-sum, maximizing system that is fundamentally incompatible with our (optimizing, positive-sum) biosphere. So the Order of Money—which I call “Glomart” for “Global Market Economy” is the terminal Cancer of the Earth—not humanity per se.
