Exactly! Thank you for posting this and sharing your story. You are right: There are no “solutions” to our predicament—only options, based on our own predispositions. For me, I always return to my mantra: Grow Gardens, Grow Community, Grow Awareness—by learning, teaching, healing, and creating.
That and staying with our “inner work” daily, in whatever religious flavor we prefer, to cultivate acceptance of impermanence, benevolence and compassion toward others, the selfless joy of the present moment, and above all, equanimity. These are not only core Buddhist values, but also the core values of every authentic wisdom tradition on the planet. So take your choice, but we should commit ourselves to becoming seeds of a Gaian future—agents of regeneration—no matter what happens.
