Although I have been a lifelong supporter of free speech, within the constraints already established by law (e.g, shouting "Fire!" in a theatre), in this case, the deliberate propagation of manifest falsehood (with dire implications for our collective long-term survival) for political gain should be criminalized.Such blatant climate lies are no different from the Nazis deliberately spreading hateful propaganda that labeled Jews as "vermin" or the Hutus in Rwanda labeling the Tutsis as "cockroaches"--both in widespread propaganda campaigns that led directly to horrific genocide!
