I agree entirely, of course. But we don’t score any points by disrupting a dramatic performance that ironically has obviously topical relevance well worth discussion amongst the (generally well-to-do and hence influential) audience) thereafter. I wish those addicted to mass public protest would realize that guilt-tripping NEVER works! It only alienates potential supporters, especially when it is disruptive.
The best way to approach our global predicament is to speak truth to power when it matters, (that is, when the powerful might have an interest in listening and learning)— but also to simultaneously mitigate and prepare for the coming collapse of our industrial consumer society by growing gardens, growing community, and growing awareness.
