I agree that nothing short of coordinated global action will give us any chance of a future as the climate heats up and the effects feed back upon themselves, accelerating the process. But what is the last time we saw any "coordinated global action" other than the creation of a neoliberal, corporate-friendly "new world order" that accelerated the commodification of everything and enriched the super-rich at everyone else's expense? So hoping for "coordinated global action" seems futile in the extreme. All we have left--if anything--is coordinated local action: growing gardens, growing community, and growing awareness. Unplugging--and helping others unplug--from "Glomart"--the fossil fuel and money-driven global market economy that is rapidly destroying our planet.
