I agree. The biggest persistent fraud in Christians' understanding is their confusion of "Belief" with "faith."

Beliefs are personal; faith is universal.

Beliefs depend on claims that can neither be verified nor refuted scientifically.

Faith is intuitive and nonverbal.

Faith is not "belief" but trust (a translation of the Greek verb "pisteuo," which was MIStranslated in the Latin Vulgate as "credo." But Trusting in(an unknowable) God is very different from BELIEVING in your own ideology about God.
