I agree with everything you said, but give the idiotic generational bigotry (“Boomer”) a rest. I am a boomer as well, and I can readily testify that my generation is NOT all supply-side money-worshipers like this guy! We are also the generation that pulled the plug on the Vietnam quagmire; that launched the environmental movement in 1970; that launched a cultural renaissance in popular music which young people are still listening to and performing today (since their own popular music sucks), and that founded and propagated permaculture—the last, best hope for the imperiled future of humanity—based ultimately on the whole Earth consciousness catalyzed by (fellow boomer) Stewart Brand. Our generation (e.g. Al Gore) were also the first to bring awareness of fossil-fuel emissions as the cause of the climate crisis to widespread public attention. In short, derisive generalizations about “boomers” are as stupid and bigoted as those about women and ethnic minorities! All “Boomers” have in common is the years of our birth!
