I hope you are right about this, obviously, but the problem of available net energy for building out the infrastructure still leaves me skeptical. I’m all in favor of any technological innovations that can facilitate the transition to renewable energy worldwide and bring down the costs, but this must go hand in hand with strategic and incremental relocalization of the economy—especially the food sector. This entails the incorporation of regenerative design principles and practices throughout all our curricula, from kindergarten to graduate school (and technical education as well). And the standing goal of such a curriculum must be the ongoing transition of humanity from a parasitic to a symbiotic relationship with our biological support system, the living Earth.
