I sincerely hope you are right about this. But we need both/and thinking, not either/or. That is, BOTH aggressive R & D in solar technologies AND relocalization of our economy—to reduce our addiction to a fossil fuel-based “endless growth” economy on a finite planet. Our larger goal must always be to shift from a parasitic to a symbiotic relationship between humanity and our biological support system.
