I think Biden’s alleged “senility” is nonsense. Yes, he is old, and yes, he struggles with a lifelong speech impediment that conveys the impression of senility to all the know-nothings out there (i.e. MAGAts and other deluded fools). But as a career politician with a lifetime career in elective office, Biden is keenly intelligent, with the patience to play the long game, who has been consistently underestimated. And he has assembled a highly professional team of advisors and cabinet appointees who likewise know their stuff and are comfortable with complexity. In a land of TV-addled, short-sighted morons, he may never command a high approval rating— there’s nothing flashy or sexy about him—but never doubt that he knows what he is doing, and knows the dangers that face our democracy! I trust his judgment.
