I think you are underestimating King Charles. He will be a different kind of monarch, to be sure, but he is politically astute and deeply motivated by compassion and a deep insight into our collective dependence, as a world, on the imperiled health of our living planet. While I have little hope for our collective future on this planet, I look forward with admiration and affection to the reign of the new King.
