If Biden replaced Harris now, he would be catering to Trump’s vile racism, and would look cowardly. I did not agree with his original choice of her; it seemed just a political chess move to cater to black, Indian, or female voters, rather than a realistic and principled assessment of who would be the best choice regardless of how many ethnic and gender-based litmus tests they passed. (An articulate, principled man like Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island would be an ideal choice). But now, Biden is stuck with her and must make the best of it by giving her a prominent role in the campaign, denouncing Trump and his boundless depravity as frequently as possible. She has a rather vinegary personality, but she’d be good on a debate stage, humiliating the likes of JD Vance or Elise Stefanik or any other vile sycophant that Trump chooses for his running mate.
