If this aspiration is not arrogance, what is? Aspiring to God-like omnipotence, immortality, and omniscience was once the very definition of arrogance—the pride that led to envy, avarice, gluttony, wrath, lust, and sloth.

I commend you on your boundless curiosity about everything (which I share) but a little humility would be welcome as well. Other eminent public intellectuals like Neil DeGrasse Tyson and Yuval Noah Harari are also men of great humanity and humility, but the desire to become your own God is a trait shared by Elon Musk and Donald Trump. Choose your role models…
