I’m amazed that anyone continues to quote Elon Musk as if that fatuous egomaniac were an expert on anything other than entrepreneurship and making money! He knows nothing at all about basic ecological concepts like carrying capacity or the inevitable fact that extraordinarily successful species, like ourselves, proliferate until they overshoot their carrying capacity—and then their population collapses. This pattern is playing out right now in multiple ways. So collectively, we are doomed, but individually we still have options. The best decision any of us can make right now is to grow gardens, grow community, and grow awareness—for only the healthy, competent, resilient, and compassionate will survive—if anyone does!
