I’ve now read thousands of these apocalyptic articles about our grim future, but this one makes me saddest of all. Insects are the keystone of our global biological support systems, and once they are gone, the biosphere we have always known and loved will simply collapse, and so will our collective future. Mass starvation will follow for all of us, human and nonhuman alike, and the few desperate survivors will crawl miserably toward death.
