Let's hope that the Faustian bargain Republicans have made in selling their souls to Trump (a devil incarnate) ends, as with Dr. Faustus, with Republicans being dragged down to Hell after being summarily ousted from power in 2022 and 24.

We faced and defeated a violent insurrection and survived before (1861-65) which was far more perilous than now. First, the enemy in this case is not a regional secessionist movement headed by a highly able US army general turned traitor (R.E. Lee), but rather a ragtag bunch of delusional morons waving AK 47s, who are braying about violent insurrection on Twitter or "Truth Social" but lack the intelligence, discipline, leadership skills, or anything else to do anything other than walk into supermarkets or elementary schools and start shooting.

So we must calmly register, send in or cast our ballots, observe the vote count in our local precincts, and call the bluff of any MAGA thugs who get in our way. Their violent posturing belies their essential cowardice and stupidity.
