"Not every Trump supporter is a racist" How could this be? I agree with your general observations about the toxic effects on families of the current political schism, but as long as anyone is willing to make excuses for the vile fascist in the White House, there is no way any of us can heal the divide. Like Hitler in Germany, he and all he represents must be repudiated, unequivocally, by the cultural mainstream before our nation can heal from the damage he has done--not only to our society, but to our collective psyche.
