One inherent problem with monotheistic religions is that once you posit “One True God,” then you also need “one true book” to transmit this ideology to future generations intact. The problem is, there is no such book possible—so you either cobble one together from diverse sources (the Hebrew and Christian bible(s) or you invent your own and claim divine inspiration (the Qu’ran, the Book of Mormon).
The notion of “one true god” immediately begs the question, “whose god—mine or yours??” This is why all the monotheistic religions demonize each other and engage in endless holy wars. They all want to make their own tribal deity the “one true god.” But it’s all balderdash!
