Please move beyond the simplistic “negative/positive” dichotomy. These are empty algebraic terms. Outside of pure mathematics, they are dull and meaningless terms that always oversimplify complex issues. Avoiding the reality of the climate crisis will make it worse, while wallowing in gloom and dread can serve as a wake-up call for some, but also lead to psychic numbing and denial—like yours. The best approach is a middle way that acknowledges the urgency of the global crisis, but proposes viable options for both adaptation and mitigation—like permaculture, aka regenerative agriculture, reforestation, relocalization of commerce, etc.
