Spot on, throughout! The five enemies of Gaia—of the living Earth—are willful ignorance, greed, hatred, denial, and despair. The first four of these are the platform of the MAGA Republican cult. The fifth is the Enemy Within. How can we overcome Despair, when everything we know is now pointing towards total catastrophe for our our global civilization and its biological support systems as well? That is our collective challenge. My own mantras for this are as follows:
1. Breathe, observe, let go…( to overcome dread, embrace impermanence, and restore equanimity),
2. Grow Gardens, Grow Community, and Grow Awareness (to build local resilience and unplug from the corporate oligarchs as much as possible);
3. Speak truth to power, nonviolently resist evil, and cultivate local autonomy….
