Such violent fantasies are fine for B movies, and I understand the temptation when people feel helpless against overwhelming state power and corruption, and against thuggish neofascist militias. But violence begets more violence—always—and amidst the ensuing chaos, the innocent suffer the most, and in desperation, the people are more and more susceptible to turning to bloody and ruthless tyrants to restore their own, self-serving “order.” Be careful of what you wish for!
