Terrifying, to be sure. But after listening to a former Russian diplomat on CNN, I retain some hope that if Putin tries to pull the nuclear trigger when he is already humiliated and discredited, his cronies will simply refuse, and overthrow him instead. Let’s hope that those in charge have no interest in destroying the world and dying for a man who is already a loser!
