Thank you, Albert. You are speaking my language. Permaculture is not just a set of gardening techniques — it is a transformative worldview, and while the chances of that worldview catching on widely enough to avert the coming global climate catastrophe are vanishingly slim, I can say with assurance that those who know, practice, and propagate Permaculture principles — growing gardens, growing community, and growing awareness — will be FAR better off than the rest of humanity who cling to the cancerous status quo of monocultures, techno-fixes, and endless “growth” of production and consumption on a finite and increasingly stressed planet. If spontaneous remission of our terminal Cancer of the Earth (i.e. our money-based industrial growth civilization) is possible at all, it will be instigated by Permaculture.
