I agree entirely with your contempt for the euphemistic doggerel of “climate change”—a term specifically coined by Republican propagandist Frank Luntz to confuse the public by implying that “the climate always changes” so that the fossil fuel industry—their patrons—are off the hook. So it’s best that we all call this what it is: the climate-driven polycrisis, or simply “our anthropogenic predicament.” A crisis has solutions; a predicament has only outcomes, that can no longer be avoided, but only managed, as best we can.
