If we assume nothing can be done, nothing WILL be done. Conversely, if we act now, with determination, we may not be able to stop the industrial juggernaut, but at least some of us may survive the collapse long enough to sow the seeds of a Gaian future that is symbiotic with, rather than parasitic upon, our living planet.
