Thank you for sharing this, Steven. I see in Plotinus one more instance of what Huxley labeled "The Perennial Philosophy." I recognized strong parallels throughout with Lao Tzu and Buddhist teachings. As the refrain from the Upanishads puts it succinctly, "That thou art."
