Thank you for sharing your story, Desiree. Like you, I’ve drawn my deepest inspiration throughout my entire life (now 70 years) first from mere love of Nature and then, starting in 1980, from systems thinking (esp. Gregory Bateson) and Gaia theory. But for me, the rubber really hit the road a year or two before I retired from my career as an English professor, when I discovered Permaculture. To create a new culture from the ground up (quite literally), we need not just Gaian theory but Gaian praxis as well. And Permaculture is Gaian praxis! So I have vowed to devote what remains of my life to learning and teaching Permaculture and thereby healing and creating Gaia.

Feel free, in a spare moment, to visit my blog, dharmagaia@blogspot.com

Best wishes,

Tom
