Thank you for this astute and well-researched truth bomb! I wish I could share this with every policymaker and economist on the planet! Your core insight, informing all the others, is that "energy is the economy." Money, after all, is just arithmetic--an arbitrary transform of information about the marginal value of commodities. And all commodities require energy--or, more precisely, NET ENERGY, which is the energy we have left after the energy we expend to get that energy. For example, we will never see a solar panel built with solar energy alone, nor a windmill built with wind energy alone!
