Thank you for this painfully honest, research-based assessment of our predicament. For myself, I try to balance resignation with activism. Resignation can come from contemplating the impermanence of everything: our bodies, our communities, our species, our living planet, and ultimately, our sun, stars, and universe. Activism arises from compassion for all of the above, translated (for me, anyway) into growing gardens, growing community, and growing awareness—disconnecting, that is, from our cancerous global infrastructures of money, fossil fuels, and toxic media in whatever ways we can…
