Thank you for this update. I’m always amused (in a bitter way) when people speak of “oil production” as if we were “producing” the oil we actually are extracting from the Earth. We only produce gasoline and other petrochemicals from the (finite) reserves of oil we extract! And infinite expansion of production and consumption of commodities on a finite planet is impossible! Sooner or later the cost of extracting these fossil fuels will exceed the net energy margin we get from them, and net energy is the real basis of any and all economies. At that point, game over.
