Thank you, Glen. You have hit the nail on the head here. Most people think of “slavery “ only in its most appalling forms—e.g. the racially coded chattel slavery of the American south or the coerced “untermenschen” of Nazi-conquered Eastern Europe. But slavery can be more broadly defined as any form of exploitation where employees have zero leverage over their wages or conditions of employment. And that is exactly how multi-national corporations have hijacked our nation, with the help of the right-wing Supreme Court and the bought-out legislators in the Republican Party (along with corrupt Democrats like Joe Manchin). I applaud the “quiet quitters” for standing up to these slave-masters! Now we need to rebuild the trade unions to stand up against these plutocrats!
