Thank you, Kerala, for exposing the appalling elitism and waste of vital resources—land, water, and tax money—on golf courses. Unfortunately, money buys political power, so your proposal will fall on deaf ears. The best we can do is show up at our city council meetings—where zoning decisions are made—and build constituencies to elect city councilors who agree with us. We have a lot more clout in local politics than in state or national politics!
