Thank you yet again, Albert. Once more, I agree completely with everything you’ve said! Or as I like to say, we need both Gaian theory and Gaian praxis. Permaculture is Gaian praxis: transforming humanity’s relationship to its biological support system (Gaia) from parasitic to symbiotic. Or as Gregory Bateson might have said, the root cause of ecological crisis is not genetic (that is, not an intrinsic defect in our genotype) but epistemological (our illusory belief, stemming from the Agricultural Revolution in the Near East, that we are apart from Nature, rather than a part of it!
