This is a silly notion. If there’s a “Greater Israel,” why not a “Greater Russia” comprising most of Eurasia, until it stumbles against “Greater China” or “Greater India,” both of whose populations need a lot more lebensraum than the dwindling population of Russia. Whatever happened to the idea that people who currently inhabit a plot of land have the right to stay there in peace, provided they they extend the same courtesy to their neighbors? That was the original goal of the UN, after all.
