This is clearly the WRONG advice. Read Gene Sharp's masterful manual (free download) entitled "From Dictatorship to Democracy." He clearly show s how any attempted violence by the opposition gives a dictator everything he craves--a common threat, and the license to use all the vast military powers at his disposal to crush them. The only Amendment that will protect us is the First Amendment, which entitles us to speak truth to power. They may try to take that away, but we have a lot of legal resources to fight back on that!
