This is fascinating! It validates completely the observation I make every day when I look at where my soak hoses snake through my garden: the grass immediately around them is green and flourishing; elsewhere (in the typically bone-dry Oregon summers), it is nothing but dry straw. Water is life, and with it comes the full, miraculous, and diverse panoply of life itself. Keep sharing your wonderful insights into our evolutionary history!
