Under normal circumstances I would agree that major newspapers endorsing candidates is problematic for their journalistic mission. But these are NOT normal circumstances! Our foundational democratic institutions are at risk as never before!
Trump and his billionaire cronies—and his corrupt Supreme Court supermajority—have nothing but contempt for the guiding principles of our nation: equality under the rule of law, fair and free elections, free speech, and a professional civil service with institutional expertise, free from partisan interference. If the Thug is elected (or the corrupted Court helps him to steal it), the country we have known will quickly fall into the vortex of tyranny!
