Unfortunately, we are just animals—tribal animals—whose adrenaline takes over when we find ourselves in a “battle royal” with an implacable foe. Rationality is only the froth on the surface of our animal selves, which are no more reasonable than two bighorn sheep butting heads in mating season…alas.
