Very simple. Because the violence, arson, and looting was perpetrated by small mobs of hooligans, NOT by vast majority of nonviolent protesters who were appalled by the frequency with which white policemen are murdering unarmed black citizens throughout the country--and getting away with it.

And cite me one instance of "murder" by these mobs. I know of no violent deaths of anyone at all, anywhere, perpetrated by demonstrators during these protests. There is all the difference in the world between demonstrations for equal treatment under the law, and a mob of brainwashed thugs--directly incited by our so-called "president"-- storming the seat of government itself to subvert the formal validation of a free election, already certified by all 50 states!
