We need to look more deeply at the essential driver of the catastrophic global crisis we are now facing: the fundamental incompatibility of “the order of money” based on the infinite expansion of extraction, production, and consumption of commodities—and the “order of nature” which is finite and not growing any bigger. This is the difference between “More is always better” and “Enough is enough.” If we don’t learn—and act upon—our total dependence on a finite biosphere—we are doomed.

The place to start in making this vital transition is to grow gardens, grow community, and grow awareness.
